Calculation of total differential cross section: Na(2P)+Xe p
Description
A quantum-mechanical treatment is used to determine the total differential cross section for collisions of excited sodium atoms with xenon. A rainbowlike structure in the angular distribution is predicted for collisions involving sodium in the 2P/sub 1/2/ state
