Eco information 4. Influence of operation of the plants Jadrova vyradovacia spolocnost, a.s., on the environment, Locality of Mochovce, within April 2015

In this leaflet the results of monitoring of radioactive gaseous and liquid effluents into the Hron River as well as of radiation monitoring of Mochovce Liquid RAW Final Treatment Facility (FS KRAO) and Mochovce Radioactive Waste Repository (RU RAO) are presented. The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within April 2015 for the radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within for FS KRAO were: 0.704 GBq of tritium (1.050 GBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.12% of AL)) and summary of gamma-radionuclides 0.558 GBq (0.746 GBq for the period January - April 2015 (19.13% of AL)). The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within January - March 2015 for FS KRAO were: 116 kBq of ⁹⁰Sr (116 kBq for the period January - March 2015), 0.003 kBq of summary alpha (0.003 kBq of annually value) and 1452 kBq of ¹⁴C for the period January - March 2015 (1452 kBq of annually value). The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within April 2015 for RU RAO were: 1.126 MBq of tritium (2.272 MBq for the period January - April 2015 (0.012% of AL)); 0.008 MBq of ¹³⁷Cs in April 2015 (0.016 MBq for the period January - April 2015 (0.07% of AL)); 0.112 MBq of ⁹⁰Sr - the value within January - March 2015 (0.112 MBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.046% of AL)); 0.005 MBq of ⁶⁰Co in April 2015 (0.009 MBq for the period January - April 2015 (0.04% of AL)); 0.005 MBq of ²³⁹Pu (0.005 MBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.893% of AL)). Volume of liquid effluents in March 2015 was 453 m³ (908 m³ for the period January - March 2015). The radioactive effluents into atmosphere within April 2015 for FS KRAO were: 0.0009 MBq of gamma radionuclides (0.0031 MBq for the period January - April 2015, that is 0.0039% of annually limit (AL)); 0.023 kBq of alpha radionuclides within January - March 2015 (0.023 kBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.023% of AL)), and 0.162 kBq of ⁸⁹Sr and ⁹⁰Sr - the value within January - March 2015 (0.162 kBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.0081% of AL)).
