Charge and energy transfer in heavy particle collisions
Description
A short discussion of the general classes of excitation and charge transfer reactions is presented. Specific emphasis is placed on collision mechanisms applicable to low energy (E less than or equal to 10 eV) scattering between ions and atoms and the resulting scaling of the cross sections on parameters such as collision energy and ion charge state
