Moessbauer measurements of BaEu2Fe2O7 and SrEu2Fe2O7
Description
The Moessbauer spectra were investigated of 57Fe in SrEu2Fe2O7 for a temperature range of 77 K to 550 K and in BaEu2Fe2O7 for temperatures around Tsub(N). A comparison was made with X-ray analysis results. The effective magnetic field at the iron nucleus, the centre shift relative to metallic iron and the quadrupole splitting deduced from the measured spectra are tabulated. (L.O.)
