Theoretical investigations of the phase diagrams and the magnetic properties of a random field spin-1 Ising nanotube with core/shell morphology

Description

The phase diagrams and the magnetic properties of the Ising nanotube with ferromagnetic exchange interfacial coupling between the core and the shell are investigated by using an effective field theory based on a probability distribution method that accounts for the self-spin correlations. The effects of the interfacial coupling and the trimodal longitudinal field on the critical behaviors of the system are examined. It has been found that the system exhibits first-order phase transition, tricritical point and re-entrant or double re-entrant phenomenon. - Highlights: • The critical behavior of the Ising nanotubes has been studied by EFT. • The effects of the random field on the phase diagram have been examined. • The double re-entrant phenomenon is obtained for appropriate values of the random field
