Scaling of cross sections for multiple electron transfer to highly charged ions colliding with atoms and molecules
Description
For collision energies below 25 keV/amu cross sections for the transfer of up to 4 electrons in single collisions between multiply charged ions and neutral atoms and molecules are approximated by empirical scaling laws. Within a +-35% margin of error two thirds of altogether 268 measured cross sections coincide with the predicted values. (Auth.)
