Device for protecting CRD exchanger
Description
Purpose: To prevent the damage to a control rod driving mechanism exchanger (CRD exchanger) by an operator's erroneous operation. Constitution: A permanent magnet is installed at a position which is corresponding to a CRD-exchanger-operation-inhibited zone on the floor of a CRD exchanging work field (pedestal), and a lead switch group is mounted on the lowermost end of the rotary frame of the CRD exchanger. When the lead-switch-group enters into the CRD-exchanger-inhibited zone, an electric contact is closed by the permanent magnet, a signal is generated so that an operation stopping device may be operated. Thus, it can stop the CRD exchanger precedently before the CRD makes contact with a reactor instrumentation due to erroneous operation or the like. (J.P.N.)
