Description
It has been done an analysis and modeling of power reactor piping system. The purpose of this activity is to determine whether the stress that occurred in the piping system under stress conditions which allowed or not. To cope with stress arising from expansion of pipe, one of ways, is to install the expansion joint due to the limited dimensions of the space. The method used is to retrieve reference data generated from software CAESAR II and catalog expansion joint then can be calculated to determine the specifications of an expansion joint that will be installed. From the analysis and the calculation are known that there is excessive stress on piping systems and can be overcome by the installation of the expansion joint that can easily be found in the domestic market.
