Condensation on nonspherical particles - Shape factors

Description
Aerosol particles encountered in nuclear reactor accidents are often not spherical. While detailed numerical calculations for condensation/evaporation of such bodies of arbitrary sizes remain to be carried out, useful information can be derived in some simple ways. In this paper, the authors describe one such development that appears particularly promising. Considered is the case of isothermal condensation. These calculations show that the concept of the shape factor, as introduced in this paper, is a useful one
