Processing of rirang uranium ore: Increase uranium content using knelson concentrator

Description

Separation of Uranium mineral from 520.25 ppm of Uranium Rirang ore using Knelson Concentrator has been done. The aim of this experiment is to increase Uranium content in concentrate, so it can decrease impurities within its ore and in order to decrease reagent consumption in the next processing of uranium. Variables that can be observed are: fluid pressure and size of ores. The result of this experiment get optimum condition as follows: 2.0 psi of fluid pressure, -65 +100 of ore size in stable flow rate of 130 gr/min, 400 gr of feed weight and 50% of solidity percentage. Furthermore (from) the experiment obtains 47.75% of Uranium distribution by Uranium content within concentrate as much as 1,152.75 ppm or increasing 221.57% and 21.55% of concentrate weight of its feed.
