Description

The problem of massive particle capture by scalar quantum field is studied with the help of the Bogolyubov collective coordinate method. The methods of the system effective mass determination are considered. It is shown that the determination method of the mass, based on the ex.olicit consideration of the system energy dependence on the total momentum, is equivalent to the traditional method which maintains the system velocity determination. It has been performed, that the effective mass consists of two parts - the inert mass of the particle and the ''adjoint'' mass, associated with the polarization near the particle. Results are illustrated with the help of the Hamiltonian model
