On drift theory of motion of charged particles in Tokamaks

  • 1. Patrice Lumumba Univ., Moscow (USSR)

Description

The term of second order which describes an inertial drift is considered. It is shown that this drift leads to increase the maximum displacement of trapped particles if the electric drift velocity Vsub(E)>O, and to decrease the maximum displacement if Vsub(E)<O. The considered effect is completely caused by toroidal effects of a magnetic field and depends on the Tokamak safety factor. (author)
