Effect of irradiation temperature on deshydrodimers production in n-alkanes

Description

Yields in deshydrodimers of alkanes in C10, C12, C16 and C17 are compared for irradiation at 77K and 196K. G is increased by about 0.2 units for an increase of 120K. Yields in trapped radicals are determined by ESR. Evolution of yields comes from immediate mechanisms and hence activation energy is not zero. Yields are influenced by crystal structure both at 196 K and 77 K

Abstract (French)

On compare le rendement en deshydrodimeres des alkanes en C10, C12, C16 et C17 par irradiation a 77K et 196K. Pour un accroissement de 120K le rendement croit de 0,2 unites. Le rendement en radicaux pieges est determine par RPE. L'evolution des rendements est a imputer aux mecanismes immediats par suite l'energie d'activation est non nulle. A 196 K on observe l'influence de la structure cristalline sur les rendements comme a 77 K
