First operation of the lower hybrid system of Tore Supra

Description
The Tore Supra lower hybrid current drive system was designed to drive the current for long pulses up to 210 s. The first results of the main tests performed on the transmitter, on the transmission line and on the antennae are presented. The measurement and the data acquisition systems are described. The results concerning the coupling of the power and the efficiency of the current drive on Tore Supra are included
