Method of isolating spheres of about equal kind and size from irregular heaps and device for achieving it
Description
In order to single out spheres of about equal kind and size - especially spherical fuel elements for nuclear reactors-, it is proposed to let gravity act upon them, thus safely avoiding damaging the surface. According to the invention, they are fed into a V-shaped discharge channel (generating angle between 550 and 670, inclination 20 to 100) being at least 25 times longer than the diameter of the spheres. In this way, a linear arrangement is obtained effortless from an irregular heap. (UWI)

Um Kugeln etwa gleicher Art und Groesse - insbesondere kugelfoermige Brennstoffelemente fuer Kernreaktoren - zu vereinzeln, wird vorgeschlagen, auf sie nur die Schwerkraft einwirken zu lassen, damit Beschaedigungen der Oberflaeche sicher vermieden werden. Erfindungsgemaess gibt man sie auf eine V-foermige Ablaufrinne (mit einem Oeffnungswinkel zwischen 55 und 670, Neigung 2 bis 100), die mindesten 25 mal laenger ist als der Durchmesser der Kugeln. Man erreicht so muehelos aus einem regellosen Haufen eine lineare Anordnung. (UWI)Files
