Description

The N = 90 isotopes in the vicinity of Z = 64 are located at the center of a region of rapid change in nuclear shape, and consequently these nuclei demonstrate a rapid change in nuclear collectivity. The Samarium isotopes particularly have been the subject of many experimental and theoretical studies aimed at trying to understand this change
