Potential distribution close to a conducting plate in a two-temperature plasma
Description
The potential distribution in a Debye discontinuity between the conducting plate and plasma consisting of a hot component of thermonuclear plasma and a cold component, formed as a result of erosion of the wall material, is considered. It is shown that the presence of the cold plasma component may significantly amplify the electric field at the surface of a conducting plate, which results in easier conditions of ignition of unipolar arcs
