γ and α irradiation of aerated and degassed aqueous solutions of Americium and Neptunium
Description
While taking results of previous studies into account, this research thesis reports a systematic study of the effects of γ and α ionising radiations on aerated and degassed aqueous solutions of Neptunium ions. The author first presents the analytic methods: preparation of solutions of Neptunium IV, V and VI in sulphuric and perchloric environments, spectrophotometric dosing of Neptunium, dosing of hydrogen peroxide, preparation of perchloric solution of Americium V and VI, degassing device and gas microanalysis device. In the second part, the author reports the study of the action of hydrogen peroxide on solutions of Neptunium with H2SO4 and HClO4, and of the amphoterizing reaction. The next parts address the use of Americium 241 as internal source in the study of the α radiolysis of Neptunium solutions, the study of the instability of acid solutions in Americium VI and V, the action of γ rays on aerated and degassed solutions of Neptunium ions, γ and α irradiations of aerated and degassed solutions of Neptunium ions
Abstract (French)
(auteur)Files
