Measurement of the Charged Kaon Mass
Description
The mass of the charged Kaon is a very fundamental and important parameter in particle Physics. However, upon examination of its value and previous experiments that measured it one finds discrepancies sufficient enough to doubt the currently used value of its mass. Resolving these discrepancies would have a major impact in a broad area of particle physics. Furthermore the Physics impact of the charged Kaon mass would result in changes to previously measured fundamental parameters in particle physics such as CKM matrix elements, CP and CPT tests in charged Kaons, Kaonic beta decays and form factors as well as new physics searches that use the charged Kaon or have a charged Kaon in its final state.
