Description

On the basis of inclusive cross sections of pion and kaon generation in pp and πp interactions obtained in accelerator experiments a theoretical consideration for nucleons, pions and kaons propagation through the atmosphere was made. Cosmic ray muon spectrum at sea level in the energy interval of 1-105 GeV was calculated (scaling for fragmentation region with x > 0.1 was suggested to be true). The decay, nuclear interactions of pions and kaons, regeneration of pions and kaons and increase with energy of hadron-nuclear interaction cross sections, decays and energy losses of muons were taken into account in the calculations. The comparison of theoretical muon spectrum with experimental one drives us to the conclusion that the used picture of the propagation of considered cosmic ray components through the atmosphere does not contradict the assumption of the primary cosmic ray nucleon spectrum description in the AEsup(-(γ+1)) form with γ=1.65 over the energy interval of 30 GeV - 105 GeV
