Description

The knowledge of gas transfer through porous and fractured rocks is important for CO2 sequestration, radioactive waste storage or the detection of underground nuclear tests. A research project combining experimentation and simulation aims at studying the releases in the atmosphere of gaseous tracers (rare gas, SF6 and CO2) from an underground cavity located in the Roselend tunnel (Savoie, France) and through a 55 meter thick layer of rocks
