Theory of superfluidity
Description
A new description of superfluidity is proposed, based upon the fact that Bogolyubov's theory of superfluidity exhibits some so far unsuspected macroscopic quantum waves (MQWs), which have a topological nature and travel within the fluid at subsonic velocities. An attempt is made to understand Tisza's two-fluid model in terms of the MQWs, and it is conjectured that they play an important role in the motion of second. A qualitative prediction is also presented concerning the behavior of the 'phonon-roton' peak below 1.0K, and two experiments to look for MQWs are proposed. (Author)

A teoria da superfluidez de Bogolyubov descreve certas ondas quanticas macroscopicas (OQMs) de natureza topologica, que se movem no fluido a velocidades subsonicas e eram, ate o presente, desconhecidas. Com base nesse fato, propoe-se uma nova descricao da superfluidez. Procura-se entender o modelo dos dois fluidos de Tisza em termos das OQMs, e conjectura-se que elas desempenham um papel importante no movimento do segundo som. Faz-se tambem uma previsao a respeito do comportamento do pico de fonons-rotons abaixo de 1,0K, e propoem-se duas experiencias para procurar OQMs. (Autor)Additional details
