Spectral energy distributions and equivalent widths of Balmer lines of B and A stars with rapid axial rotation. Comparison with theoretical models

Description

The characteristics of the continuous spectrum (spectrophotometric gradients, Balmer jumps) and the equivalent widths of Hα, H#betta#, and H#betta# Balmer lines of rapidly rotating stars are investigated. A comparison is made with the analogous characteristics for stars with low rotation rates and with theoretical values calculated from models of rotating stars. The limits of variation of the angle of orientation of the rotation axis are determined for several stars on the basis of a comparison with models
