Application of potential theory to the investigation of hydrodynamical properties of the lower mixing space of reactor vessels
Description
The hydrodynamical behaviour of the lower mixing space of reactor vessels is investigated using the potential theory. By establishing a two-dimensional model an algorythm based on the method of finite differences is developed for the numerical solution of the Laplace equation. The method have been tested on problems having closed form analytical solutions, good agreement was achieved. The current field in the vessel of WWER 440 type reactor is calculated. (R.J.)
