How to give impetus for a collective, effective sobriety and go beyond symbols? Proposals for a fair and effective sobriety

Beyond reducing energy consumption through small daily gestures, useful but insufficient, energy sobriety must become a collective project, implemented quickly, with realistic measures, which take into account inequalities and avoid the exclusion of the most modest households. This evolution introduces exemplarity, application of regulations, incentives, responsibilities but also constraints: the whole range of public measures must be deployed, with short, medium and long-term initiatives. The war in Ukraine and the drop in French domestic energy production capacities (nuclear in particular) are at the origin of a major energy crisis. Leading to high inflation, it could also lead to natural gas and electric power supply cuts during winter. To avoid this scenario, sobriety efforts are necessary. In the longer term, sobriety will be an asset in the fight against global warming. In a second note, the author reviews his main recommendations
