Description
Muon is an elementary particle that belongs to the second-generation lepton with spin 1/2. Spin of muon interacts with electro-magnetic fields through dipole moments. A precise prediction on magnetic dipole moment of muon is possible by using the standard model of particle physics. The electric dipole moment is estimated to very small under the standard model. Precision measurements of these dipole moments of muon and its comparison to theory allow us to study new physics phenomena beyond the standard model of particle physics. Measurements of muon dipole moments and underlined physics are reviewed in this paper. (author)

(著者)Additional details
