Effect of ion electronic shell overlapping on electric field gradients in diamagnetic chlorides with perovskit structure
Description
The calculation of electric field gradients on chlorine nuclei in a number of ABCl3-type diamagnetic crystals with perovskit structure has been performed. The results are valid for cubic chlorides ABCl3, where A=K,Rb, Cs; B=Mg,Ca,Sn,Hg,Pb,Cd,Sr. It is shown that taking into account ion electronic shell overlapping leads to a better agreement between the calculated values of electric field gradients and experimental results
