Glueball searches in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation
Description
Recent work on the possible existence of glueball and/or hybrid states accessible in the study of final states in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation is described and the status of glueball searches in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation is also reviewed. In particular the evidence pertaining to the interpretation of the ξ(2220), the iota(1440) and the rhorho, ωω, structure in the 1.6 geV region is discussed. The situation is sufficiently complex that clear identification of a glueball or hybrid candidate will almost certainly require refinement of experimental knowledge, both through the acquisition of larger data samples and through further analysis
