Effect of temperature on radiation induced degradation of ethylene-propylene elastomer
Creators
- 1. Waseda University, Advanced Research Institute for Science and Engineering, Tokyo (Japan)
Description
Radiation induced degradation of ten kinds of EPDM was studied at various temperatures ranged from 70degC to 150degC. Dose rate was 5.0 kGy/h; maximum dose was 1.8 MGy. After irradiation mechanical properties was studied at room temperature. Ultimate elongation decreased with increasing dose and temperature, but the difference between the results obtained at 70degC and 90degC was almost the same. (author)
