Unified geometric theory of gravitation and electromagnetism

Description

The question about the scalar wave radiation in the gravitational collapse is considered in terms of a five-dimensional closed isotropic model describing the collapse of a star consisting of a dust-like matter with a scalar field. It is demonstrated that the explosion of the supernova SN 1987A must produce a flux of scalar radiation energy which could be identified by the present-day gravitational detectors. The possibility of the effect of the supernova outburst on the Sun and the Earth is discussed. 13 refs.; 2 figs
