High temperature superconductors, Part-A. Scope of ESR in high temperature superconductors, different experiments which may be performed
Description
In this paper, Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) experiments (ν=8.36 GHz) in the temperture range 300-77K, of the recently discovered high temperature rare earth Cu-oxide superconductors are discussed. The solid state magnetism of Cu2+ and Cu3+ ions can be studied through the ESR determinations of spectroscopic splitting tensor g, hyperfine interaction tensor A, zero field splitting tensor D (for Cu3+ ions only), the line widths of the ESR signals.
