Planetary nebula in a red globular cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud

Description

An object close to the center of the red LMC globular cluster NGC 1852 is shown to be a low-excitation planetary nebula and may be a cluster member. The nitrogen abundance of the shell is between 10 and 20 times less than the solar value. The similarity in the central star temperature of this planetary to that in M 15 is mentioned
