Sensitivity study for a fast power reactor core

  • 1. Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear (IEN), Rio de Janeiro, RJ (Brazil)

Description

With the results obtained for a reference twice enrichment zone homogeneous core, neutron fast power reactor, a possibility of maximize the quantity of fuel core is studied to reduce the reactivity loss during the evolution cycle, always searching to keep the rules applied for the fuel element geometry project. By modifications over the mean volumetric enrichments and fissile volume the influence of the reactivity loss in the reference core is presented. Lastly, the values of reactivity loss is remount.
