Application of integrated geophysical survey to the exploration of hard rock hosted uranium deposits

  • 1. Airborne Survey and Remote Sensing Center of Nuclear Industry, Shijiazhuang (China)

Description

This paper briefly introduces the application of main geophysical methods used in the prospecting and exploration of hard rock-hosted uranium deposits, expound their principles, characteristics. The application status and geological effect of different geophysical survey methods in the exploration for hard rock-hosted uranium deposits are briefly introduced in case study. The results indicate that geological condition such as fault stricture, fracture zone, pluton and contact zone could be well detected by correctly selecting and reasonably matching the geophysical methods which will improve the exploration effects.
