Gamma dosimetry using lyoluminescence of Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane
- 1. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay (India). Health Physics Div.
Description
Lyoluminescence (LL) of Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane has been studied and compared with the LL of glucose, mannose, valine and glutamine. Among these materials, Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane on dissolution in luminol shows the highest LL sensitivity and stability. The linear dosimetric range of this system is 0.1-2x102 Gy which makes it useful in the fields of radiotherapy and radiation processing of food. (orig.)
