Orano Cycle - Progress status of projects of waste recovery and packaging of the La Hague Orano's site. This document is established in compliance with the decision nr 2014-DC-0472 of the Nuclear Safety Authority of 9 December 2014 - Edition 2017

This document presents the progress status of different projects of recovery and packaging of radioactive wastes which are currently undertaken on the La Hague Orano's site. It outlines the technical stakes of these projects: to find a storage process for each type of waste parcel, to ensure the safety and security of packagings and of intermediate warehousing of these wastes. A priority level is defined with respect to waste nature, the status of compliance of warehousing installations, to present standards, and constraints related to recovery processes and to the existence of waste storage processes. Then, the progress status of different projects is presented. They concern different types of wastes and wastes generated by different installations (sludge from an effluent processing station, fission products, resins from stripping workshops, technological wastes, strontium capsules, solvents, and so on).
