Lorentz contraction and diffractive excitation
Description
The formalism of light-plane wave functions is applied to the problem of diffractive excitation. The non-relativistic and covariant light-plane developments are set out for the problem of Born approximation scattering of a composite system on an external potential. Suggestions in the literature, for removing an experimentally embarrassing forward zero in the single scattering approximation to Glauber theory, are not borne out. (author)
