Creep and stress rupture behaviour of heat resistant materials for pipes and weldings in the water-steam-circuit of high temperature reactors

  • 1. Asea Brown Boveri AG, Mannheim (Germany, F.R.)

Description

Creep behaviour was examined in 12%-CrMoV-steel and Alloy 800 with limited chemical compositions and also for weldments between these materials. The two steels show their characteristic behaviour lying within the typical range. At 550oC creep and plasticity were mathematically described. For loadings across the weld connection, reduction factors for weldments were determined. The microstructural creep damage was examined. (author)
