The world's first all-in-one-piece extraction and replacement work of PWR reactor internals
Description
The upper and lower reactor internals of the 566 MW Ikata Power Station Unit No.1 of the Shikoku Electric Power Co., Inc. has been replaced as the world's first all-in-one-piece extraction and replacement work of its kind in a pressurized water reactor (PWR) by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI). The same works have done subsequently in the Genkai Nuclear Power Station No.1 of the Kyushu Electric Power Co. Inc. and Ikata Unit No.2. This presentation introduces outline and features of the world's first work. (author)
