Quantitative evaluation of a subjective factor in the analysis of general and regional contractility in the assessement of contrast ventriculography findings

Description

Altogether 23 ventriculograms were analysed by an external observation method to study the reproducibility and level of a subjective factor in the assessment of general and regional contractility of the left ventricle. The highest divergence in the assessment of segmental contractility was observed in the mitral valve, apex cordis and the anteriobasal segment which was due to the washing out of a contrast agent in the diastolic and systolic phases of the cardiac cycle of the left ventricle respectively. The statistical analysis showed that the variability of individual characteristics of ventriculograms significantly exceeded the scattering of data associated with a subjective factor of a researcher making the functional volume and regional contractility findings significant irrespective of a researcher
