Role of suspended matter and bottom sediments of the aquatic ecosystem of the Northern-Crimean Canal in migration of 90 Sr, 137 Cs, 238 Pu, 239+240 Pu

Description
Results of radioecological investigation of the Northern-Crimean Canal (NCC) aquatic ecosystem in 1992 are presented. A significant change of concentration of Pu isotopes and 90 Sr was noted in suspended matter of water from the magisterial canal: their values were reduced by almost 23 (for Pu) and about 10 times (for 90 Sr) at the distance of 150 km from the NCC main constructions. The less significant changes of concentrations of 90 Sr (1.9 times),137 Cs (1.6 times), 238 Pu and 239,240 Pu (3 times) were determined in bottom sediments at the same distance from the beginning of the NCC
