Description

An overview of the most recent QCD results at LEP2 and of cross-talk phenomena in the hadronic decay of W-boson pairs will be given. The first part summarises recent results on event shapes, αs and its evolution. In the second part Bose-Einstein correlations and Colour reconnection will be discussed. It is shown that the QCD analyses at LEP 2 confirm, within the limits of statistical precision, the predictions of the theory based on the precision measurements at the Z0 pole. Final state interactions in fully hadronic WW decays remain an important and interesting topic, not the least because they could limit the ultimate achievable precision for the W mass at LEP 2. For Bose Einstein correlations there is no complete agreement of the four LEP experiments yet. While the majority of them tends to see full Bose Einstein Correlations disfavored by their data, one of them (DELPHI) disagrees with this. A fruitful approach of common and cross-checked analysis strategies for all experiments has started and should give a conclusive answer at the end of LEP. Although the simple observables have been able to exclude some of the proposed reconnection models, a better observable is still needed. However the recently proposed global methods, which reconstruct the complete colour flow, are likely provide us with the necessary sensitivity to judge almost all models. (author)
