Nutrient removal from wastewater using an hybrid system suspended biomass and bio films
Creators
Description
Over the past two decades, several biological suspended sludge configurations have been proposed to accomplish biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal, and they all include the basic stages of an anaerobic zone, followed by an anoxic and aerobic zone. From all these process the University Cape Town (UCT) or modified UCT processes are broadly used for nutrient removal in urban sewage (Ekama 1983). (Author)
