Study on proton diffraction structure in the p-barp → p-bar(p2π+2π-)d reaction at 32 GeV/c

Description

Effecetive mass spectra for p2π+2π- diffractive system (DS) and for the pionic part 2π+2π- (PC) and also structure of events in the systems of the DS and PC principal axes were investigated. The leading effect for the secondary proton was detected. The (ptr) rise for pions and proton with increasing the DS mass Mx is observed. For the first time, the charge transition value (Q) for DS was measured, and the asymptotic estimate was obtained (Q)=0±0.15. The data sample contradicts some diffraction models and might be explained with pomeron interaction using proton gluon component. The influence of nondiffractive background on the obtained results was carefully analyzed
