Gouging the answer to nuclear dismantling problems

Description
Nuclear pressure vessels are dismantled underwater for radiation safety. A new gouging/cutting technique has been tested on mild steel pressure vessel sections, 150 mm thick, clad with 6-12 mm stainless steel. The results are discussed. (author)
