Temperature dependence of sound velocity in He II

Creators

Description

The T4 decrease in the sound velocity in a nonideal Bose gas found in an earlier paper is shown to exist in the phenomenological theory of He II as well. Together with the T4lnt-1 increases calculated by Andreev and Khalatnikov, this gives for the change of sound velocity with temperature in He II an expression which differs only marginally from that used in the earlier work to compare theoretical and experimental results
