According to the Dutch Law on Environmental Protection ('Wet Milieubeheer') every four years an environmental outline is drafted as a preparation for the national environmental plan (NMP3). In this background document a methodical and numerical basis and account is given by means of data and literature references of the environmental outline. The outline comprises an analysis of the expected bottlenecks and an outline of a number of solutions (in this book limited to perspectives for the improvement of the environmental quality). refs
