Video analysis. Detecting hazards should not be left to chance
Description
More and more frequently, video technology is combined with intelligent image evaluation. Software supports control room staff and responds automatically by generating optical and acoustic signals in case of conspicuous events. There has been a lot of improvement in the field. Systems now work very reliably. Experts think that present alarm initiators, such as motion detectors or radar, in the future may be replaced completely. (orig.)
