An evaluation of on-line maintenance safety

  • 1. Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc., Tokyo (Japan)

Description

This study shows how Japanese utilities are expanding 'On-line Maintenance' activity, and how safety of 'Single system On-line Maintenance' is maintained. The basis of Single system On-line Maintenance is the design basis accident analysis. On the other hand, the basis of 'Multiple system On-line Maintenance' will be discussed in the future when risk informed regulation is introduced. Considering this situation, Japanese utilities will start from 'Single system On-line Maintenance'. (author)
