Investigation of the neutron-deuteron system in the energy range from 20 to 50 MeV

In the presented work the results of two experiments in the neutron-deuteron-system are discussed and compared with predictions from Faddeev calculations using different nucleon-nucleon potentials. The analyzing power distribution (Asub(y)) of the inelastic n vector,d-scattering for the final state interaction was determined. In a second experiment the differential cross section of the elastic n,d-scattering in the backward angular range (1300sub(cm) to 1700sub(cm); ΔTHETAsub(cm) = 100) was determined. (orig./HSI)

Abstract (German)

In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die Resultate aus zwei Experimenten zum Neutron-Deuteron System diskutiert und mit verschiedenen Nukleon-Nukleon Potentialvorhersagen aus Faddeev Rechnungen verglichen. Bestimmt wurden die Analysierstaerke Verteilungen (Asub(y)) der inelastischen n vector,d-Streuung im Bereich der Endzustandswechselwirkung. In einem weiteren Experiment erfolgte die Bestimmung des differentiellen Wirkungsquerschnitts fuer die elastische n,d-Streuung im Rueckwaertswinkelbereich (1300sub(cm) bis 1700sub(cm); ΔTHETAsub(cm) = 100).
